Tradespeople stay employed by AKT Autoschade while working on-site for the client, which covers both short-term cover and longer placements. The agency works with both Dutch and international candidates for the same roles.
Can I apply if I do not speak Dutch?
Yes, you can apply without speaking Dutch. AKT Autoschade actively recruits car mechanics, sprayers, panel beaters and pre-processors from Hungary and Romania, and the website is available in four languages so you can read about vacancies and get in touch in your own language. Some Dutch or English is useful once you are on the workshop floor, but it is not required to start your application.
Will AKT Autoschade help me find housing?
Yes. AKT Autoschade arranges SNF-certified accommodation close to your workplace, and a company car for getting to and from work. If you come from abroad, the trip to the Netherlands is fully reimbursed once there is a match with a client. The SNF certificate means the housing is checked against a recognised quality standard covering things like space and safety.
What type of contract will I work under?
You would work under a Dutch temporary staffing contract, employed by AKT Autoschade rather than by the garage or body shop you are placed with. These contracts follow the ABU collective labour agreement, which has phases A, B and C, so protections such as notice period and continuity build up the longer you stay in employment. The exact terms are confirmed once a placement is agreed.
